Long-running Pennsylvania progressive metallers Believer has announced that for the time being, they will undertake periodic releases of digital tracks. Doing that began on March 18th, with new music from the band.

The intermittent new songs will be available throughout 2017, culminating with the release of a physical product to be announced later this year.

Each offering will feature new artwork from Eye Level Studio‘s Michael Rosner accompanying each release. The first installment, titled “1 Of 5“, has two songs and was released via Trauma Team Productions last week. You can check it out streaming via Bandcamp embed below.

The three decades-plus musical evolution of Believer is ongoing and always results in some of the absolute best, unique modern metal. Kurt Bachman (guitar and vocals) explains:

“At this point our goal was to write good songs, but to also make ourselves feel a bit musically uncomfortable.

“We have long admired the musicianship of RUSH, YES, KANSAS, etc., but it was their ability to write great, memorable songs that has always inspired us.

“After 30 years, I would say that with these songs, we are combining the Believer sound with our very early musical roots and having a fun time doing it!”
