Demon Eye is back on the block with their third full-length release. Offering up another dose of their own Raleigh, North Carolina special blend of heavy classic rock, Proto-Metal, and some fine Traditional Doom!

Their latest is entitled, ‘Prophecies and Lies‘ and is confirmed to be released on August 11th of this year, via Soulseller Records. The new release will be made available on CD, vinyl pressing, and in digital formats.

If you’ve yet to hear about Demon Eye, rest assured, they bring much vintage heavy darkness for modern times and current day evils. With Erik Sugg (vocals/guitar), Bill Eagen (guitar), Paul Walz (bass), and Larry Burlison (drums), these four have definitely earned metal badges of honor. They have graced stages with High on Fire, Corrosion of Conformity, The Sword, King’s X, Pentagram, and YOB, just to give you an idea of their prowess in the power parlor.

Dark and groovy, loud and heavy they be. I witnessed it myself last November (at the first Doomed and Stoned Fest) in Indianapolis, IN. They had the whole venue on their feet, front and center, rocking out right along with them. I can’t wait to do it again!

The album was recorded by Mike Dean (of Corrosion Of Conformity), right in the band’s hometown of Raleigh, NC. Prophecies and Lies‘ exhibits strong musical progression, with displays of mighty riffs, haunting melodies, and definite fist-raiser anthems.

Demon Eye‘s ‘Prophecies and Lies‘ record release show is coming up later this summer, on Friday, August 18th at The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC. Find all the details and R.S.V.P. through the Facebook Event here: Captain Beyond w/ Demon Eye (Album Release), Mega Colossus

HOWEVER! The NEXT show for Demon Eye is – you’ll never guess where – their appearance at The Maryland Doom Fest! They are set to perform on Friday, June 23rd for Day One of MDDF.
