RVA (Richmond, Virginia) is ground zero for a plethora of genre-warping music projects. These days, bands like Iron Reagan, BAT, and Municipal Waste are the current torchbearers, but now it is time to introduce Buzzard Dust.

The relatively young band (formed in 2015) is set to unveil their début record on October 13th via Forcefield Records. There are clearly some assuredly strong points favoring the band, who happen to play frenetically furious thrash-driven, punk-infused hardcore music.

The band’s onslaught of break-neck speed, paired with gut-wrenched riffs, is masterfully executed by Buzzard Dust. The list of past bands this one’s membership lays claim to is quite impressive, to say the least. It includes Krieg, Psyopus, Unsacred, The Jefferson Plane Crash, Human Timebomb, Tri-State Killing Spree, and more.

The S/T ‘Buzzard Dust’ début effort was recorded in the Spring of 2017 at Ward Studios in Richmond, VA, by Ricky Olson (Unsacred, Prisoner); with mastering handled by Carl Saff. You can hear two of its tracks, “Have You Seen Me” and “Shit Town“, streaming below.

Buzzard Dust is set to unveil their début record on October 13th. To celebrate, the band will be holding a record release show the following day (Sat. Oct. 14) at Strange Matter in RVA, with multiple East Coast jaunts to follow in November.
