Columbia, South Carolina’s Grüzer are on an ascending climb through the ranks of heavy music currently. The band’s 2016 release, the ‘Let It Burn’ EP, was a successful slab of riff-driven sonic monstrosities that introduced a whole new group of fans to the band. They joined the ranks of fans that had been supporting the band since their 2014 debut, ‘Path Of Buzzards’, and before that.

Those fans recently received the news of Grüzer‘s change in their vocalist department and many were uncertain of how this might possibly affect the band. Now, with the revelation of new singer Jordan Condery stepping into the front-man spot once held by Claude Spurlock IV, things are gradually beginning to settle down. Jordan joins guitarists Jason E. Brown and Travis Nicholson, bassist Matt Campbell, and drummer Jay Crosby for the next stage in Grüzer‘s evolution.

To properly introduce fans new and old to the latest stage of Grüzer, the band recently shared two new songs with Condery on the mic, “In A Ruptured Fashion” and “Heathen Crisis” (streaming below). They then doubled down on that introduction by taking part in last week’s Steel & Stone Festival at The Odditorium in Asheville, N.C.

By all accounts from those in attendance, Grüzer delivered an electrifying performance before the packed audience. But before they did, the band joined me on camera for a brief exchange where we discussed recent events, future plans and more. I now invite you to join us all in that conversation…
