Early this year, vintage-tinged heavy metal band Lucifer parted ways with drummer Andrew Prestige and guitarist Gary “Gaz” Jennings (Cathedral). Now, vocalist Johanna Sadonis (formerly of The Oath) has been joined by Nicke Andersson of Entombed, The Hellacopters, Imperial State Electric, etc. on drums and Robin Tiderbrink on guitar.

The trio is sharing a brand new audio-only format song “Faux Pharaoh” today, which is expected to appear on the band’s upcoming second album, ‘Lucifer II‘. The new record will arrive before next summer and is the follow-up to Lucifer‘s debut album, Lucifer I, which was released in June 2015 via Rise Above Records.

Johanna shared this comment with the new song, saying:

“It’s been a while! We have been busy down in the studio these past months. Before this year ends we would like to tease you with a first song off our new album Lucifer II, to be released before summer 2018. We hope you dig it. Things might get a whole lot weirder & wilder come January. Until then, enjoy!”
