TEMPTATIONS WINGS Announces New Band Member & First Live Show As Quartet

One of the bands to make a remarkable stamp on 2017 is Asheville, North Carolina’s own doom-y hard rockers, Temptations Wings. The band has been gradually ramping up their presence in the stoner/doom underground and made a huge advance with their 2017 album, ‘Skulthor Ebonblade‘.

Now, the former trio that included drummer Jason Gardner, guitarist / vocalist Micah Nix, and bassist Chad Barnwell is sharing some news with us. The band is being joined by Chad’s previous Through The Fallen bandmate, bassist Ryan Fox, whose coming aboard allows Barnwell to move to a guitarist role. The quartet is all pictured in the new 2018 promotional photo above.

Such a move, one opening up the door for a dual guitar lineup within Temptations Wings, is sure to yield some incredible results. There is one sure-fire way to confirm my suspicions too as the band has shared info on their first live performance with the newly enhanced lineup.

The unveiling will happen on March 25th when Temptations Wings plays a headlining show at AVL’s famed The Grey Eagle. The band has assured me they will be unleashing some new tunes as well as reworked tracks from the past, that now benefit from the twin guitar approach.

Support for this show will be provided by Horseflesh and Dissent.
