The Cambridge, Ontario, Canada duo known as GREBER, bassist/ vocalist Marc Bourgon (ex-Fuck The Facts), and drummer/ vocalist Steve Vargas (The Great Sabatini), will release their new album this week.
Their third studio obliteration is titled ‘Cemetery Preston‘, it will be released this Friday, Feb. 3rd and it is streaming here today in full.
If you have never been forced to survive a Greber onslaught before, or just haven’t heard their music until now, prepare for some bona fide battery. This is sonic savagery in its most raw state, overloaded with sinister sludge and bare-fisted emotion. Both are transmitted with devastating effect, too, a barrage of bone-crushing aggression that one does not come away from unscathed.
It is bewildering to think upon the truth that two men, their creativity, and their instruments could yield such a massive weapon of destruction. That is exactly what GREBER does on ‘Cemetery Preston‘, the follow-up to previous assaults, ‘Kiln Hardened Psalms’ and ‘Hometown Heroin’.
It will be out on Friday, Feb. 3rd through collaborations between Ancient Temple Recordings, Pink Lemonade Recordings, Hibernation Release, No Why Records, and d7i Records (links below). It will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital download.
Drummer Steve Vargas comments:
“With Cemetery Preston we dug a bit deeper and got a lot darker in the overall sound and feel of this record. Our aim was to make it as ugly as possible both musically and lyrically. I feel like it’s the best representation of the band to date and we’re really excited to play a bunch of these songs on the road in February.”
