The Bay Area-based metallic hard rock band Blackwülf will release their new album, ‘Sinister Sides‘, on February 23 via Ripple Music.

The new record was recorded at San Francisco, California’s Trakworx Recording & Mastering (Agalloch, Deafheaven) and contains eight songs featuring heavy, head-banging riffs.

The follow-up to Blackwülf‘s 2015 LP, ‘Oblivion Cycle’, this upcoming effort will be the recipient of an album release show on February 24th, at The Hemlock Tavern in San Francisco (see details here).

Of special interest for Blackwülf and ‘Sinister Sides‘ is the revelation that Pentagram / Bedemon guitarist Geof O’Keefe guests on the new album. He contributes his signature heaviness to several tracks including solos for both of the songs streaming here. On top of those, he’s present for a cover of Cream’s “Sunshine Of Your Love”.

Check out the songs “Dead To The World” and the title track of the new album, “Sinister Sides“, streaming below.

O’Keefe will also appear live with Blackwülf during the SXSW 2018 festival in Austin, TX this March, as part of the official Ripple Music Showcase (details) with Mothership, Wo Fat, and more. Additional U.S. touring is expected to be announced soon.

The band will also perform as one of the featured acts at Desertfest London this May, alongside High On Fire, Graveyard, and more. Find further details about that here.

Blackwülf is Alex Cunningham (vocals), Pete Holmes (guitar), Dave Pankenier (drums), and Scott Peterson (bass).
