A four Euro band “super tour” has just been announced from the bands Amorphis, Dark Tranquility, Moonspell, and Omnium Gatherum. The quadruple bill of these amazing acts will re-take North American soil this September to October as Amorphis just finished recording a new album with producer Jens Bogren (release tentatively set for May).

Members from each act had commentary to share about this massive undertaking, beginning with Amorphis guitarist Esa Holopainen:

We are extremely excited to start the world tour with new album from North America. There’s been lot of requests after our last visit in spring 2017. This time we come over with a killer package. Touring with Dark Tranquillity, Moonspell and Omnium Gatherum is almost like having a road trip with best mates around. Every band has a strong fan base so there will be something for everyone. We just finished new album recordings with our producer Jens Bogren and result is very bombastic! Album release is tentatively this May and it’s a great privilege to introduce new songs for North American audience. Shine on, see you soon and support live music. That keeps our engines running!

Dark Tranquility adds:

We are coming back to North America, and we are coming back in fantastic company. The mighty Amorphis, the wolves of Moonspell and the amazing Omnium Gatherum. This lineup is long overdue and we are pumped to be part of it. See you there!

Moonspell states:

We’re really proud in sharing the news of our return to North America in great company Amorphis, Dark Tranquillity, Omnium Gatherum, an amazing European Metal package, that will hit your shores at the 7th of September The Gramercy Theatre NY.

Omnium Gatherum‘s Markus Vanhala comments:

Before we’ll announce any facts for the new album as title or release date, we can only suspiciously reveal that the album touring cycle will start this time from North America! Couldn’t hope to tour in any better company than this; joining together on a tour trek with our good friends of these 3 bands and the best acts of the scene – metal party!
