WILL HAVEN Shares ‘Muerte’ Stream; Album Release Show Video

With the numerous new releases that were issued this past March 23rd, one, in particular, has an immense amount of special interest for me.

That being the latest full-length salvo from post-hardcore/ noise metal unit WILL HAVEN, titled ‘Muerte‘, issued through Minus Head Records.

Even now, some 23 years into their existence, the band is ofttimes known as WHVN and remains shrouded in mysterious intrigue. The band has always operated outside the fringes of the music world, calling its own shots and seeing fit to do conduct business in the way they select to do so.

With their sixth full-length album now fully manifested within the public realm, Grady Avenell (vocals), Jeff Irwin (guitar), Adrien Contreras (bass), and Mitch Wheeler (drums) are the very embodiment of the scorched earth approach to music. Simply put, WHVN lays waste to any and everything in their path, period.

We are immensely stoked to share the following stream of WILL HAVEN‘s ‘Muerte‘ via the Bandcamp embed containing it. The record was captured in secret at Sacramento’s Pus Cavern Studios with engineer Joe Johnston and the band’s own Jeff Irwin. Mastering was done by Logan Mader (Once Human, ex-Soulfly, ex-Machine Head) and the album does contain some guest appearances.

Those would be YOB‘s Mike Scheidt on the song “No Escape” and DeftonesStephen Carpenter, who co-wrote and performs on the album-ending “El Sol“.

Along with the stream of ‘Muerte‘, Capital Chaos TV recently shared a video of the band’s March 23rd album release show. It was filmed at Holy Diver in Sacramento, CA, and is included below.
