Savannah, Georgia’s BLACK TUSK have announced an upcoming album release, ‘T.C.B.T.‘, which will arrive on August 17th, via Season Of Mist Records.

Along with the album artwork, tracklist, and release date also comes a new song from the record. Titled “Agali“, it is streaming in an audio-only clip below. The word itself has special meaning to the guys in BLACK TUSK, something they elaborated on further saying:

Simply put, ‘Agali’ means ‘to return.’ I learned of the word from the bandmates of Victoria Scalisi, she passed away from cancer this year along with another of our close friends Jake Trout. Victoria and her bands inspired us to do what we do today and her and Jake were family to us.

This song to us is about passing on and your spirit and energy returning itself into the lives of the people who were close to you and even the lives of complete strangers. Our time here is short and when our bodies pass on, hopefully the good things that we have done and the ideas we have spread will return. So this song is dedicated to the memories of Jake and Victoria, may you always return.

T.C.B.T.‘ is the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Pillars Of Ash’, the band’s last official release that featured posthumously presented material from the previous bassist, Jonathan Athton. Tragically, Athton was killed in a 2014 motorcycle accident. Corey Barhorst now provides bass and vocals for the band.

T.C.B.T.‘ – which reportedly stands for “Taking Care Of Black Tusk” – was recorded at The Garage Savannah, then mixed by engineer and long-time collaborator Chris “Scary” Adams.  The cover artwork was done by Brian Mercer of Mercerrock Art.
