It was 1989 when the U.K. crust-punk crossover metal band AXEGRINDER released their debut full-length album, ‘The Rise Of The Serpent Men’.

That milestone outing contained music inspired by acts like Sacrilege, and it quickly helped to establish AXEGRINDER as a serious sonic contender. Unfortunately, the first chapter of the AXEGRINDER story came to an abrupt halt not long after the release, when guitarist Steve Alton and vocalist Trev grew disillusioned with the scene that they had helped to forge.

In the time since, years crawled past to become decades, while the band’s cult status only continued to grow. Despite a brief period of activity in the late Eighties, it would be a special one-off show in recent years that sparked thoughts in the pair of a new era of AXEGRINDER. That officially launched when the band reactivated in 2015, and now here we are in 2018.

This past Friday (July 13th) saw the tangible, realized reinvention of the anarcho-punk protagonists AXEGRINDER, as they dropped their long, long-awaited sophomore full-length, ‘Satori“‘, via Rise Above Records [Purchase HERE].

Get a leg up on the looming onslaught of acclaim that is sure to follow the release, with the full album stream of ‘Satori‘ from the iconic AXEGRINDER.
