This week, newer hardcore giants Knocked Loose released a music video for their song “The Rain,” the third song off of their latest album, ‘Laugh Tracks’, out on Pure Noise Records.

Originally premiering through ConsequenceOfSound a few days ago, the video matches the track perfectly. It’s got everything you could want from a hardcore video – lighting, overflowing sinks, new haircuts, two-stepping, and, of course, lots of rain.

I actually just had the privilege to see Knocked Loose for the first time live on October 6th. So there I was, hanging out in an overcast Camden, New Jersey, at five o clock on a Saturday night. The place was filled with edgy teens, hipsters, HxC pit Spartans, dads, and… Juggalos?

I had been stoked for the show for weeks, it was my first time seeing Knocked Loose, who is one of, if not my favorite band. I got to the front of the barrier, and I vividly remember the cold dead stare of one of the security guards, who I’m almost positive would’ve rather been watching paint dry than try to keep order with a bunch of hardcore kids arf-arfing and trying not to kill each other.

To make a long story short, I was crowd-killed about fifteen seconds into “Oblivions Peak,” the first song they played. After a significant amount of time seeing stars, endless “you good, bro?’s”, and the realization that the pit is no place for showing off your new rank as a green belt at your local Jiu-Jitsu place in that one strip mall, I was able to get back to the show.

It was a great show nonetheless, and I can’t wait to see them again, even if Bryan Garris encourages us to kill everyone in attendance.

Knocked Loose’s new video for “The Rain” comes as the band is amidst their final North American tour in support of their 2016 debut album, ‘Laugh Tracks’. The band’s tour with Beartooth and Sylar will continue through October and November. Tickets for the remaining dates are on sale now [HERE].
