It has been a little over two years since the iconic U.S. doom band THE OBSESSED made their triumphant return to the spotlight with their fourth studio album, 2017’s Relapse Records release, ‘Sacred‘.
The album came nearly a quarter of a century after its predecessor arrived in 1994, the game-changing milestone outing, ‘The Church Within‘. By all accounts, ‘Sacred‘ has been a fantastically well-received recording with fans and critics alike, and the band – led by legendary guitarist and vocalist Scott “Wino” Weinrich, rounded out with drummer Brian Costantino and bassist Reid Raley – has stayed busy since.
Today the trio announces they will embark upon an extensive European Tour this summer, one that will span over three months in length. While on it, THE OBSESSED will appear at several well-known festivals in the olde country and slightly lesser-known ones, as well. These actions are in continuing support of ‘Sacred‘ and will see the band make appearances at Rock Hard, Freak Valley, HellFest, Stoned From The Underground, Brutal Assault, Sonic Blast, Up In Smoke, and Into The Void festivals, plus others.
