FOGHOUND “Turn Off The World” Single & Moveable Feast MD Fundraiser

Charm City’s FOGHOUND is known for their highly charged style of heavy rock, and the unhinged intensity with which they deliver it.

Today, April 27th, delivers new music from FOGHOUND via a new single, “Turn Off The World,” from Ripple Music and a partnership with Moveable Feast Maryland. Founded in 1989, this volunteer-run, non-profit organization provides home-delivered meals, medical transportation, nutritional counseling, and food services to men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. The single is available now as a Name Your Price offer at Ripple Music‘s Bandcamp with 100% of all sales going to Moveable Feast Maryland.

In conjunction with the new music from FOGHOUND is a special, limited-edition band T-shirt featuring the “Turn Off The World” artwork created by Bill Kole. This T-shirt offer is available pre-sale now and will be open from today (April 27th) until May 25th; the shirt will not be offered at any other time. This is a print-per-order deal with no extras made. Like the single, all proceeds will go to Moveable Feast Maryland. Find further details below.

Formed in 2012, closing in on their first decade active, FOGHOUND is Bob Sipes (guitar, vocals), Dee Settar (guitar, vocals,), Chuck Dukeheart III (drums, vocals), and Adam Heinzmann (bass). Together, the quartet has crafted a well-deserved reputation as accessible, down-to-earth folks offstage. But when it comes time to play, everyone within sight and earshot of the band is in for an experience, for seeing FOGHOUND live is something no one forgets.

Another unforgettable thing is the hardships so many people deal with on a daily basis; compounded recently by current events. No strangers to the trials of life, struggle, or loss, FOGHOUND empathize and found inspiration within it and themselves. “Turn Off The World” is that inspiration now manifested as electrifying, frenzied rock and roll with a “do or die” vibe. Hard-hitting and relentless, much like the world around us, the punk rock undercurrents of the song make it quite in-your-face.

FOGHOUND offered the following insights into the new single and its origins, saying:

As everyone is very aware, these are strange and extraordinary times we are living in right now. With the Covid-19 outbreak, subsequent shutdowns, social distancing and quarantines in effect, those already in vulnerable positions find themselves in an even more disadvantaged place than before. In times like these we have to band together, lend a hand of support and help those less fortunate get through these tough times as well.

While we may not be able to play any benefit shows for the time being, Foghound is proud to release our timely new single “Turn Off The World” as a name your price charity single through Ripple Music, as well as T-shirts featuring the accompanying artwork by Bill Kole, with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Moveable Feast.

We would like to thank all at Ripple Music for releasing the song, Bill Kole for the awesome artwork, Sage Printing, and we thank you all for your help and support. Please share the link and donate what you can.

Turn Off The World” was recorded in January of this year at Tiny Castle Studio with engineering, mixing, and mastering handled by Noel Mueller. FOGHOUND also plans to schedule local delivery days where the shirts will be delivered to you if within the Baltimore vicinity. These dates will be determined in the near future and announced on the band’s Facebook and other social media. The band asks that you please allow them a few weeks after the end of sale date to get shirts printed, shipped, or otherwise available for delivery.

Once sales end May 25th, that is it; this shirt and design will not be made available again.
