Texas’ gritty Southern Rock rowdies Blacktop Mojo have debuted their official video for the song “Where The Wind Blows“.

The track hails from the hotly rising act’s recent sophomore album release, ‘Burn The Ships‘, released back in March. The guys commented on the new visualizer, saying:

“It was a blast making this video. We got to do it with a bunch of our friends from our home town of Palestine, TX in the bar where we played our first show. It basically turned into a two-day party and the fun we had really comes through in the video”.

Forming near the end of 2012, Blacktop Mojo began their days playing the country music circuit of backwater Texas. They quickly realized their more Hard Rock-oriented sound was not an exact fit, but soon began landing respectable support slots on the road. Shows with the likes of Sammy Hagar, Candlebox, Drowning Pool, Puddle Of Mudd, Smile Empty Soul, Audiotopsy, and more helped fuel their transformation into a full-fledged rock band.

In 2014 the band released their début album ‘I Am’ and gigged like madmen to support the record. Now they’re back with the next step in their evolution, ‘Burn The Ships, which was recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, TN as well as FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL.

In addition to the producer of the band’s first record, Philip Mosley, returning for this record, the band also brought in co-producer, Jimmy Johnson. That’s THE Jimmy Johnson of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound studios, as well as his long-time engineer, Steve Melton (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, Bob Seger) who helped bring a seasoned sonic quality to the band’s brand of raw, energized rock and roll.
