Sons Of Apollo – the new “supergroup” project with former Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force) – will be hitting the road in 2018 for their first-ever worldwide tour, which kicks off in Tampa, FL on February 3rd as part of the Cruise To The Edge. The cruise will be sailing to Belize and Costa Maya and once the cruise concludes, the band will be performing in Miami, FL on February 9th as part of the Monsters Of Rock Cruise Pre-Show party.
Tickets for the upcoming tour dates go on sale Friday, December 1 at 12 PM, local time. More shows are expected to be announced at any time.
The group has been on the receiving end of some very positive press based on the strengths of a couple recent song shares. The tracks, “Lost In Oblivion” and “Coming Home” are streaming below and hail from Sons Of Apollo‘s recent début release, “Psychotic Symphony“. The album was produced by the duo of Portnoy and Sherinian, also affectionately known as “The Del Fuvio Brothers,” a nickname given to them over 20 years ago during their time together in Dream Theater. The album is out now from InsideOut Music and available for ordering here.
