Alice In Chains has announced a planned North American headline tour that kicks off April 28, 2018, at the House Of Blues in Boston. The band will make several festival appearances throughout the run including ones at Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Rock On The Range, and WMMR BBQ (links to each below). The touring trek news comes along with recent reports that the band entered the studio back in July to record a new album.
The band entered Studio X (originally owned by Ann and Nancy Wilson of the band Heart under the name Bad Animals, the studio where Alice In Chains recorded its 1995 self-titled album) at that time. Helming the sessions once again was Nick Raskulinecz, who produced the band’s last two studio efforts, 2009’s ‘Black Gives Way To Blue‘ and 2013’s ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here‘.
Both albums featured singer William Duvall, who joined Alice In Chains back in 2006 following the death of original singer Layne Staley.
