Multinational recording act Dark Rites recently debuted their new lyric video for the song “Masochist“, a cut from the band’s 2017 S/T album release.
This song, like that album, contains a monumental molding of extreme death metal and progressive thrash/speed metal. With blinding ferocity derived from shredding guitars and incessant piledriver-like rhythms and drums, Dark Rites run with constant top-notch musical technicality.
Dark Rites is the project derived by three masterful players from three differing nations, it consists of Wojtek Widuch (Guitars, Bass), Randy Kaciak (Drums), and Oskar Åsfjäll (Vocals). Based in separate locations – UK, USA, and Sweden – the trio worked together despite geographical logistics, and the eventual result was 2017’s album for SlipTrick Records, the S/T ‘Dark Rites’.
