The CLUTCH organized and led Earth Rocker Festival has announced it will return for a second edition in 2018.
A performance from the Let There Be Rock school band (of Frederick, MD) has also been scheduled. The inaugural event in 2017 was a relaxed, fantastic, family-friendly time. Now relax your panties, riffbrains… “family-friendly” doesn’t mean lame. Clutch ain’t Disney, but if you’ve never seen them live, that ticket will give you a ride, make no mistake. It simply means it’s an all-ages event at a family-owned, farmland-style venue. In fact, kids under 12 years old are allowed FREE entry (accompanied by an adult).
Limiting the live performances to a handful of Clutch-curated bands keeps the festival a full day, yet everyone still has the rest of the night to venture off to party on elsewhere. Some info from the organizers:
“Like last year’s inaugural offering, Shiley Acres and Clutch have worked together to make Earth Rocker Festival ’18 a fan and band friendly event. Earth Rocker Festival is a day time event. The festival opens the gates at 12 noon and music runs all day, ending right before the sun sets. The festival has a designated camping location and will offer free camping on site the day and the night of the festival. Other fan friendly elements include free parking starting at 9am the day of the event, free admission for accompanied children under 12, and allows lawn chairs and pop up tents in designated areas. As Greg Shiley, owner of Shiley Acres puts it ‘There will be plenty of good food, beer choices and all at reasonable prices, so come spend a summer afternoon enjoying the great bands and open air. We’ll make that real easy for ya’.”

Fest Tickets can be purchased HERE. Advance tickets are $35, and $45 at the gate. Four bands plus, for the same price (or less) as a regular Clutch show. Can’t beat it. It might be a daytime event, but ER Fest 2018 looks to be dark and heavy with the likes of COC and EHG…
The 2017 Earth Rocker Fest included Clutch (obviously), as well as Lucero and The Sword. Not a bad first-timer for this now annual event. Friends, fans, frolics on a full-volume fest farm… and a hay bale size roll of photos are here from last year’s festivities, so you can get a gander for what you’d be in store for come August… click below:
