Poland’s Loathfinder will release their new four-song EP, ‘The Great Tired Ones‘, on April 28th, via Godz ov War Productions. There are several one-word descriptions that more than adequately relay the idea of what type of music this is. Yes, if you ask me, words such as “punishing“, “volatile“, “frightening” or “cataclysmic” all do rather nicely.

See, what Loathfinder has crafted here is nothing short of a caustic descent into harrowing heaviness. Combining bleak hopelessness with stark savagery, the result is a hellish transmission of blackened sludge and death-tinged doom.

Despite the more dismal vibrations that emanate from this EP’s aural content, there are atmospheric nuances to be found. While all seems dejected, it is not an abysmal absolute governing here. The songs possess textures, as they are truly as wide as they are deep. Perhaps multifaceted and damnable both ties it together in a way that’s most befitting.
