Drummer Gene Hoglan To Perform Week-Long Residency On Late Night With Seth Meyers

Heavy metal drumming god Gene “The Atomic Clock” Hoglan, whose legacy of acts includes Dark Angel, Testament, Strapping Young Lad, Dethklok, Meldrum, Pitch Black Forecast, Death and more, will undertake a late night TV residency soon. He will sit in with NBC‘s Late Night With Seth Meyers house band, The 8G Band, from October 2nd through October 5th as their guest drummer.

Hoglan joins the ranks of iconic drummers Abe Laboriel, Jr. (Paul McCartney), Brann Dailor (Mastodon), Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Sting), Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Danny Carey (Tool), Venzella Joy (Beyoncé) and others who have also held this position on the show.

Gene commented on his upcoming stint saying: “Words cannot express how elated I am to have been invited to man the throne for the mighty 8G Band on Late Night With Seth Meyers in the first week of October.
