L7 Launches N. American Tour; EU Tour Next

After their sold-out reunion world tour in 2015, seminal punk/alt. rock legends L7 have just embarked upon a new North American tour.

Launching earlier this week (April 10) in Jersey City, N.J. the tour is now underway and coincides with an announcement related to the band. L7 has launched a crowd-sourcing campaign on PledgeMusic to finance the recording of a new album, their first new record in 20 years.

With an expected release date of February 2019, Suzi Gardner, Donita Sparks, Demetra Plakas, and Jennifer Finch are offering some enticing items to fuel donating.

They include: a record player prop from the 1994 “Andres” video, vintage L7 vinyl records, signed setlists, a meet and greet in Boston, Dee Plakas‘ drum head + sticks, and Suzi Gardner‘s cherry red Gibson Les Paul.

This is not L7‘s first time running a financial campaign like this. Although they were not officially reunited at the time, the 2014 success of a crowd-funded, BRIT award-nominated documentary on the band, ‘L7: Pretend We’re Dead‘, helped convince the ladies that the time was right.

A reunion and the aforementioned 2015 tour helped things along and in 2017, L7 released their first original song in 18 years, “Dispatch From Mara-a-Logo“. That was followed by the single “I Came Back To Bitch” and its subsequent official video. Both are streaming below.
