Long-running progressive thrash metal legends TOURNIQUET have just released the title and cover art for their new 2018 studio album.

The album, ‘Gazing At Medusa‘, will arrive sometime this summer via the band’s own label, Pathogenic Records. Along with this most welcome news (FYI – TOURNIQUET are one of my favorite bands), TOURNIQUET are debuting the album’s title track in a new lyric video… and the song features some special guests.

They are Deen Castronovo (The Dead Daisies, G//Z/R, ex-Journey) – but not on drums as most would expect, no, he contributes vocals here – and guitarist extraordinaire Chris Poland (OHM, Damn The Machine, ex-Megadeth).

TOURNIQUET drummer / songwriter Ted Kirkpatrick commented about Deen’s presence saying:

It was really cool having Deen on vocals for this track. He just killed it, as he always does. Plus having  Chris, one of my favorite guitarists, on lead – kind of put it over the top.

There has been no official announcement from the band yet on who will be handling the rest of the lead vocals. Guest performances on past TOURNIQUET albums include Chris Jericho, Ripper Owens, Corey Glover, Michael Sweet, and Dug Pinnick on vocals, and Marty Friedman, Pat Travers, Scotti Hill, Bruce Franklin, and Chris Poland on guitar.
