U.K. based “cinematic sludge metal” diviners TELEPATHY announce the March 27th release of their new album, ‘Burn Embrace‘, via Svart Records.
The sibling duo of guitarist Piotr Turek and drummer Albert Turek, along with guitarist Richard Powley and bassist Teddy-James Driscoll (replacement for a third Turek brother, Krystian), are unveiling a new video at this time. “Pariah” is a stunning serving of potently flowing, post-blackened doom laden with progressive metal quantifiers. It is a harrowing composition where an underlying, wordless message is shrouded in the bleak black and white imagery you see revealed here.
Guitarist Richard Powley goes on to reveal more about the song itself, saying:
“‘Pariah’ tells the story of a person who has given up the comforts of a traditional life, and lost their connection to the modern world. Haunted by the memory of those they left behind, the character contemplates on the struggle of not being accepted in the eyes of society. The video was made in various locations around the U.K. by our own Piotr and Albert Turek, with help from our former bassist Krystian.”
TELEPATHY found themselves catapulted to the center of attention when the band’s sophomore effort, ‘Tempest‘, was released to rave reviews in 2017. The flurry of praise only increased, as the band carried out no less than eight tours in support of the album. Along with the treks, TELEPATHY performed at several acclaimed festivals, including Roadburn, ArcTanGent, and Desertfest London, among others.

07. Burn Embrace
Now, almost three years to the day that brought ‘Tempest‘ to the masses, TELEPATHY return with further evidence supporting their being worthy of praise. The band offered the following about next month’s release saying:
“We’re super excited to announce the release of our 3rd full length album, ‘Burn Embrace’. Recorded during the summer of 2019 at Orgone Studios with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Myrkur, Paradise Lost), ‘Burn Embrace’ is an album born of struggle, overcoming adversity and ultimately embracing the changes that come with growth.”
The public will receive the opportunity to put all of these claims to the test when TELEPATHY deliver ‘Burn Embrace‘ via Svart Records on March 27th. It is available in digipak CD, standard black vinyl LP, limited edition silver vinyl LP, and digital formats. Pre-order at the following:
