Ethan McCarthy’s (Primitive Man/Vermin Womb) One-Man MANY BLESSINGS; ‘Ripe Earth’ Debut Streaming

(By Pat ‘Riot’ Whitaker, Lead Journalist/Writer, RiffRelevant.com)

From the Mile High City of Denver, CO comes something birthed from the lowest depths of one man’s own psyche. That man is Ethan McCarthy, best known as the guitarist / vocalist of Primitive Man and Vermin Womb but unlike those bands, this is something else altogether different.

Though released just today, Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14), under the moniker of Many Blessings, “Ripe Earth” does not evoke romantic sensations in the least. No, instead we get a thoroughly frightening descent into the innermost recesses of stark, damaging aural depravity. That lowering comes with the gripping dissonance of far-encompassing, noise-laden sonicscapes and ambient bleakness presented here.

This most misanthropic, post-apocalyptic wasteland of hellish destitution is now available for streaming below. While the limited edition cassette format of “Ripe Earth” is currently sold-out, there are digital downloads still available for purchase at this location.
