SHADOW WOODS METAL FESTIVAL Announces Details & Band Line-Up

(By Pat ‘Riot’ Whitaker, Senior Writer/Journalist,

The SHADOW WOODS METAL Festival has announced they will return for their fourth installment in 2018! This most-brutal gathering will be held from Thursday, September 20th through Saturday, September 22th in Purcellville, VA at Harpers Ferry Adventure Center (HFAC).

The Mid-Atlantic’s only open-air camping heavy metal gathering, is pleased to announce the complete lineup for 2018, consisting of over 40 bands. They will all perform on one of two alternating stages, and sets have no overlap so there’s no chance to miss any band.

If you have attended SWMF in previous years then you’ll notice that 2018’s festival is being held at a new location after the previous property in Maryland was sold. The new location will add many new features to the festival as HFAC features zip lines, rope courses, tubing, white water rafting, cabins, campsites and an onsite craft brewery!

Located just a little more than a hour from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD near the intersection of the Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia state lines. Activities, camping, and cabins will be discounted to all SHADOW WOODS METAL FEST IV ticket holders.
