THE MON (Solo UFOMAMMUT Member) Shares “Her” Video As Debut Nears

In May, Riff Relevant reported [HERE] on the realization of THE MON, a new solo project undertaken by UFOMAMMUT’s lead vocalist, bassist, and synth player Urlo.

As we await the album title, release date, and other related aspects of the studio début from THE MON, an official video has been unveiled. The visualizer for “Her” is the first installment from a planned series titled ‘Solve et Coagula’ – the formula that the alchemists used in the transformation from base metal into gold.

The stunning ocular presentation of “Her” was created by Lu of Malleus Rock Art Lab. Urlo expounded on the video saying:

“‘Her’ is one of the most memorable sonic explorations for me, and perhaps the most distant from what I do with Ufomammut. Even compared to the previous track ‘Relics’ which was more direct, ‘Her’ is essentially a folk song, which explores subtly smooth, unconventional melodies in a new way for me, it is also one of the more personal songs I’ve been working on for THE MON’s full-length. The video by Lu captures the beauty of the music and retains an element of mystery behind the whole creative project. I’m looking forward to sharing another side to my musical personality with the next video.

We will bring you further developments of THE MON as they become available; the album is expected to arrive this autumn via Supernatural Cat. In the meantime, check out the previously shared tracks “Relics” and “Souloop” below.
