North Carolina’s The Asound are currently experiencing a mercurial rise within the heavy music underground. The band itself, Chad Wyrick (guitar, vocals), Michael Crump (drums) and Jon Cox (bass), have a string of split releases out and are currently working on a new album. 2017 has undeniably, and without a doubt, been the year of The Obsessed. Although recent events originally began percolating in 2016 when band founder, Scott “Wino” Weinrich, transitioned the then-reformed Spirit Caravan into the newest incarnation of The Obsessed. North Carolina sludge merchants Weedeater have unveiled their plans for a full-on North American tour this Spring. Several dates will see them joined by Primitive Man, as well as a string of dates with The Obsessed, Karma To Burn and Fatso Jetson.
